After remodeling the bathroom it is very hard to install bathtub without to replace some studs but the Flex p-trap it’s your solution. Flex p-trap for Bathtub has a 2.0-2.5 inches water seal when bathtub it’s on second floor because limited space (high of joist). When the bathtub it is on first floor you can use a deep seal p-trap too. For bathtub with overflow with nuts Fig.47A, Fig.47B we have one size flex p trap and for bathtub with overflow glued Fig.48A, Fig.48B, Fig.49 we have other size flex p trap. The Flex bathtub p-trap have rubber cord and plastic washer. The tolerance for measurement is ±0.5 inches.

1. First, you have to choose the position of your Joist (Pos.1.2.3.) from Fig.47 - Fig.49
2. Second, you choose the model of overflow (with nuts, glued or flex).
3. Third, you choose the p-trap from bottom and dimensions from Fig.47A for installing.

For 2.0-2.5 inches water seal you have to use dimensions from Fig.47A.

In Fig.47A, Fig.47B we have the bathtub with overflow with nuts, the Flex P-trap for Bathtub will have 14 inches length with plastic coupling and one Male adapter (product ID: Flex BP-trap/pc/14)

The bathtub with overflow glued Fig.48A the Flex p-trap for bathtub will have two plastic Male adapter and a length of12 inches (product ID: Flex BP-trap/pM/12"). The Flex p-trap for bathtub from Fig.48B is the same as from Fig.48A and drawing shows the front view of Fig.48A.

If space between Joist Pos.3 and bathtub it is to small, choose flexible overflow Fig.49. Use the Flex p-trap for bathtub with two Male adapters 12" length (product ID: Flex BP-trap /pM/12") and for overflow the Flex overflow bathtub with two plastic Male adaptors 22" length (product ID: Flex BP-overflow/pM/22"). If the overflow tube it is too long, you can cut it.

In Fig.50 the faucet is installed on the bathtub and the bathtub can be moved back and front, which is why you need a flexible drain. Use the Flex bathtub extension with two plastic Male adapters (32" length, product ID: Flex BP-extension/ pM/32"). You can use also the Flex bathtub extension with plastic coupling and one plastic Male adapter (32" length, product ID: Flex BP-extension/ pc/32").
